John C D'Ambrosio, DO
Dr. D'Ambrosio serves as Medical Director of Critical Care/ICU at St Francis Hospital in Wilmington, Delaware.
A staff intensivist with The Intensivist Group since 2009, Dr. D'Ambrosio also worked as an Emergency Medicine Physician in Marlton, New Jersey.
Graduating Magna Cum Laude from UHSCOM in Kansas City, Missouri, Dr. D'Ambrosio completed his Critical Care Fellowship at Cooper University, and served as Chief Resident (Emergency Medicine and Internal Medicine) and Chief Intern (Internal Medicine) at UMDNJ in Stratford, New Jersey.
Board certified in Internal Medicine and Critical Care Medicine, Dr. D'Ambrosio is also BLS, ACLS, ATLS and PALS certified.
Rajesh Swaminathan, MD
Dr. Swaminathan serves as Medical Director of Critical Care in the Intensive Care Unit at SSM St Clare Health Center in Fenton, Missouri.
Before joining The Intensivist Group, Dr. Swaminathan served as Medical Director of the Intensive Care Unit and Chairman of Trauma/Critical Care Department at Barnes-Jewish St Peters Hospital.
In 2003, Dr. Swaminathan presented "Complication Rate of Chest Tube Placement by Medicine Trained Critical Care Physicians" at the Society of Critical Care Medicine.
Board certified in Internal Medicine and Critical Care Medicine, Dr. Swaminathan graduated from Saint Louis University School of Medicine in Saint Louis, Missouri and completed his fellowship in Critical Care Medicine at St. John's Mercy Medical Center/Saint Louis University.
Edward H Gray, DO
Dr. Gray serves as Medical Director of Critical Care in the Intensive Care Unit at Grand View Hospital in Sellersville, PA.
Before joining The Intensivist Group, Dr. Gray served as an intensivist in the Department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center and he also served as an intensivist in the Department of Critical Care at St. Barnabas Medical Center.
In addition to his clinical positions, Dr. Gray has held various academic appointments and was awarded the 2009 Outstanding Faculty Teaching Award by the St. Barnabas Medical Center Department of Medicine. Dr. Gray has authored abstracts and publications and is a frequent presenter on critical care related topics.
Board certified in Internal Medicine, Critical Care Medicine and Neurocritical Care Medicine, Dr. Gray earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his fellowship at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.
Dominic J Valentino III, DO, FCCP
A member of the Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital medical staff since 2008, Dr. Valentino serves as associate medical director of the ICU where he is currently co-developing the implementation of a comprehensive sepsis program and standardization of clinical practices across Mercy Health System.
Dr. Valentino has managed multi-specialty ICUs, caring for medical, surgical and neurosurgical patients. Dr. Valentino serves as Director of Osteopathic Medical Education and Program Director of the Osteopathic Rotating Internship and ACGME Transitional Year Residency that are part of the Mercy Catholic Medical Center's Graduate Medical Education Program.
Board certified in internal medicine, pulmonary medicine, critical care medicine and sleep medicine, Dr. Valentino earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his fellowship at Georgetown University Hospital. He is a Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians and member of the Society of Critical Care Medicine.
Scott B. Chelemer, MD, FCCP
Scott Chelemer is the medical director of the intensive care unit at Nazareth Hospital, where he is leading The Intensivist Group program to standardized critical-care best practices. Dr. Chelemer is board-certified in critical care, internal, and pulmonary medicine.
Before joining The Intensivist Group, Dr. Chelemer was a partner with Pulmonary & Sleep Physicians of South Jersey. As part of the practice, he served as medical director of the critical care unit and chair of critical care and pulmonary medicine at Virtua-Memorial Hospital. He also was on the medical staff of Lourdes Specialty Hospital and Kennedy-Memorial Hospital. Previously, Dr. Chelemer was an internist at Winchester (Mass.) Hospital.
Dr. Chelemer graduated from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, then completed a residency in internal medicine at New England Deaconess Hospital. He also completed a fellowship in pulmonary and critical care medicine at Maine Medical Center.
He received Virtua-Memorial Hospital’s Outstanding Physician Award in 2002.Dr. Chelemer is a fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians and a member of the Society of Critical Care Medicine and American College of Physicians.
Kenneth Cruz, MD
Kenneth Cruz is the medical director of the intensive care unit at Provena Mercy Medical Center and a consulting physician for Northwest Community Hospital’s intensive care unit. He also brings extensive experience in managing telemedicine ICUs, a role that entails overseeing off-site intensive care physicians and nurses who monitor and direct treatment of critical care patients.
Dr. Cruz has received national recognition for is work in developing an ICU protocol for the use of therapeutic hypothermia.
Before joining the Intensivist Group, Dr. Cruz was a consulting physician in critical care medicine at Hoag Memorial Presbyterian Hospital. In this position, he admitted patients to the ICU, conducted daily rounds of ICU patients, and performed procedures as necessary for those patients.
Dr. Cruz graduated from Wayne State University School of Medicine and completed his residency at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor, MI. He then completed a fellowship in critical care medicine at Rush Presbyterian St. Luke’s Medical Center in Chicago. Dr. Cruz is board-certified in internal and critical care medicine. He is a member of the Society of Critical Care Medicine.
Rotem Friede, MD
Rotem Friede is medical director of the intensive care unit at Mercy Philadelphia Hospital. In that role for The Intensivist Group, she oversees a team of board-certified intensivists who provide round-the-clock care for critically ill patients.
Previously, Dr. Friede was a critical care physician at Rush University Medical Center and an emergency medicine physician at Our Lady of the Resurrection Medical Center, both in Chicago.
She attended New Jersey Medical School and completed a double residency in internal and emergency medicine at the University of Illinois at Chicago Medical Center. Dr. Friede also completed a fellowship in critical care medicine at Rush University Medical Center. She is board-certified in critical care, internal and emergency medicine.
Dr. Friede is a member of the Society of Critical Care Medicine, American Thoracic Society, American College of Chest Physicians, and American College of Emergency Physicians.
Jaime Simon Grahe, DO
Jaime Simon Grahe leads The Intensivist Group’s team at Mercy Suburban Hospital, where she is ICU medical director. As part of The Intensivist Group, Dr. Grahe worked as a critical care physician for several years at Mercy Philadelphia Hospital before moving to Mercy Suburban. She is board certified in pulmonary, internal and sleep medicine.
Dr. Grahe earned her medical degree and completed her residency at
the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. She then completed a
fellowship in pulmonary, critical care and sleep medicine at Rush
University Medical Center in Chicago, where she was appointed chief
fellow. She also received a Young Investigator’s Award for Original
Research at the 2005 Chest Conference.
She is a member of the American College of Chest Physicians, American Thoracic Society, Society of Critical Care Medicine, American College of Osteopathic Internists, American Osteopathic Association, Pennsylvania Medical Society and Pennsylvania Osteopathic Medical Association.
Nathan M. Lidsky, MD
Nathan Lidsky is an associate director of The Intensivist Group’s team of critical care physicians at Northwest Community Hospital. He also serves as director of education for the critical care team there.
Before joining The Intensivist Group, Dr. Lidsky was medical director of the transplantation intensive care unit for Baptist Medical Center of Oklahoma. He also was an assistant professor of anesthesiology and critical care medicine at Presbyterian University Hospital, where his clinical responsibilities were focused on the liver transplantation ICU.
Dr. Lidsky graduated from the University of Miami Medical School. He completed an internal medicine internship and residency at Loyola University Medical Center before completing a critical care medicine fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Dr. Lidsky is board-certified in internal and critical care medicine. He is a member of the American College of Chest Physicians and Society of Critical Care Medicine.
